“California I’m coming home, I’m going to see the folks I dig” – Joni Mitchell

Katherine (with the bacon mustache below) says I’m a San Francisco girl at heart, as if I need another justification to see her and a city I love.  Olivia and I felt compelled to escape our dreary Ohio Valley winter to experience another world and way of life.  Spring break was spent visiting photography friends, their children and cruising down Highway I to Big Sur, one of the most beautiful drives and locations I’ve known. If California wasn’t enough, we spent the last few days of our trip in Olympia and Seattle, Washington visiting friends and seeing the Pacific Northwest for the first time.  Below are highlights from our journey that I captured with my friendly travel camera, the Fujix100.

Thank you to our generous and big-hearted friends for love and hospitality along the way.
