How amazing to meet people like this in the world. Megan and Scott are world travelers. They’re arm in arm fighting the good fight. They currently live in Palau, Scott working in legal justice and Megan in social health. They found a common meeting place for their friends and family to gather for their wedding at Chanteclaire Farm in Friendsville, Maryland this past August. I was moved by the care they show towards their friends and family, and, as clear in their vows, the way they love each other.
“I vow to keep earnest in my desire to be socially conscious, to allow my heart to be pressed by the ills of the world; and to respond accordingly, not out of personal gain but out of a burning desire to live in a just world. I promise to remain steadfast in the face of adversity, to challenge and allow myself to be challenged, to do whatever is in my power, whether it be by voice, or time, or money, to speak out and, in turn, be spoken to, and to dedicate my life to create a legacy of kindness and justice. I promise to be true to you, in good times and in bad, in sickness and in health, for richer and for poorer, in sunshine and in rain. I promise to be faithful and supportive, and to always make our family’s love and happiness my priority. I will dream with you, celebrate with you, and walk beside you through whatever our lives may bring. I will love you and honor you all the days of my life.”
Thanks to David Smith for his fantastic contribution second shooting.
